St. Daniele Festival.

This week has been the St. Daniele Festival, here in Belvedere. It's been so much fun. Today is the last day of it. This last week I've had fireworks out my window twice, and heard them 4 times. It's been really fun dressing up, going out. I've spent more money than I should have. But I have about half of my gifts for people now, so that's good. :) I also found out that I am switching host families sometime in December. I have met my other host family though, and I like them, so I think it will be a good opportunity to experience different types of Italian households. Sometime next spring I will be moving back in with my current family again. :) I love it here, and I'm finally getting use to the language. I can understand almost everything in conversations, but I never know how to respond. I don't know how to piece together sentences yet. I guess that will all come in time.

I have now been in Italy almost a month. It is so beautiful here. My host family is amazing and kind. Tonight my host sister and I are going to make American Brownies!!! :) Hopefully it will actually work, we had to switch up the recipe a bit, but I am sure it will be fine. :) I don't really want to explain every little detail that has happened over here, so I think I will just post some pictures and you can figure it out for yourself. If I even have anyone reading my blog. :)

I love my job, it's amazing and I love the residents, I work as a nurses aid.

I'm also super excited because I'm flying to New York with my friend Matthew from school, we were in plays together. :) Once I get to New York I'm meeting with other exchange students going to Italy. It's going to be an amazing experience, and I'm so excited. I have an amazing host family who I've gotten to know a little bit over facebook.

Last Thursday my mother, father and I had a meeting in the cities to get my visa, that went pretty well. I have so much more to do before I leave it's going to be crazy seeing if I can get it all done in time.

I'm going to Italy.

I officially am leaving for Italy September 10th.

Blogs are lame. I always feel super unorganized when I don't get the chance to post. But sorry to say, I'm a teenager, and I kinda have a life. I currently have a job at a nursing home. That's like the only news. Okay bye. :)

Duluth

Thursday was my high school's choir concert. After that was done I spent the night at Rachel's! :) Along with another one of our friends Alesha! :) It was really fun, but we didn't get as much sleep as we should have.
On Friday we left in the early hours of the morning to go to Duluth, for our choir trip.
The trip was lame.
We spent all morning in the bus, and then in the afternoon we went on this tour of a place, which probably would have been fun. But I was tired, and crabby. And the weather was gross.
Then we had two hours to walk around Duluth, but the weather was still disgusting out. I stayed in the bus and slept. After that we went to eat and then went to a concert. The concert was the only cool part about the trip.
Friday night we got home at like 3am and Alesha and I went to Rachel's house again. When we woke up in the morning on Saturday we celebrated Rachel's brother, Brian's birthday. :)

My first ever bonfire.

Last night I had a bonfire! It was pretty fun! :) Brooke Gustafson came over with me after school our friend Jack gave us a ride home so we could get home fast to set up. We made a cake that we forgot to serve. But I ate it for breakfast so it's all good. :)
Also! I got some super exciting news yesterday! I got the 90% scholarship for my year abroad in Italy! :) So I only have to pay for a few things! :)

Sad post.

I failed my driving test today. I ran a stop sign and hit a pole thing on the corner backing. My badddd. :/ haha!

Today I sent in my application to be an exchange student in Italy. I am super excited! :) I have a really nice rep. who has helped me with so much stuff! I hope I can get a scholarship!

Weekend.

Friday, I missed school because I was sick.

Saturday, I stayed home and cleaned all morning/early afternoon. In the evening I went to babysit! Then I got home and slept.

Today, I was supposed to go skiing. I woke up to mom saying "skiing is cancelled and we don't know about church yet." Which that pretty much explains my day. Skiing, was cancelled. Church was cancelled. I sat at home doing nothing all day. The roads were terrible in spots I guess. I made muffins for breakfast, because since the day was destined to be bad anyways, I figured I might as well have one good thing. The day didn't end up as bad as I had guessed it would. It was boring, but sometimes boring is a good thing. I rested a lot this afternoon. The only bad thing is I had really been looking forward to skiing.

The student senate summit was today. We had to get up early for that, which was annoying. It was an okay day though. Brady entertained us with his amazing magic tricks whenever we got bored. A speaker came up from the twin cities. We had some games. Rachel had to play musical chairs, I wanted to but she got up there before I had the guts to. We had a rock, paper, scissors competitions too. The food was pretty tasty, and we didn't have school those were the two highlights of my day. I have a quiz and a test to make up tomorrow for missing though. That is not cool. I'm in a bad mood tonight. I feel kind of sick, I think that's maybe because I'm hungry/tired but I don't know because John threw up all over last night while I was babysitting him. I'm going to bed now, who cares if it's only 9pm.

Happy Valentines day! I hope you all had someone special who treated you great today! :) I had my mommy! That's the only person I got candy and a card from. :( But that's okay! The one act play went out to eat at TJ's tonight! That food was pretty tasty, well any food is good compared to my mothers, love you mom! :)

Tomorrow it's a Student Senate summit thing in Bemidji! :) I'm sure that shall be a grand old time.

This morning my parents sent me to school. I rode with Matt all the way to school. When I reached school, I was called to the office. My mom had called and said that I was leaving at 8:30 to go to the dentist. I could have just stayed home and slept in. Instead I had to go to school, for absolutely no class time. I also had to miss Phy. Ed. my favorite class. I'm back at school right now, and I am at river watch currently. On Wednesday I have some student senate thing, and Thursday there is knowledge bowl. :) Friday we don't have school. I'm painting my room this next weekend hopefully. I'm doing it kind of a blue theme! It'll be cool! :)

Yesterday I went to Grand Forks with Stephanie! :) It was pretty fun. We went to Bdubs for supper and had to wait almost 35 minutes to get seated! It was so full. The food was good, but I still have half my meal in the fridge because it was so filling! We also went to see the movie "The Vow" it was a really good movie! I might have to get it once it comes out on dvd, it was definitely worth watching. We got lost in town a few times, but it was just because we couldn't find where we were trying to go!

Working towards bigger and better!

Right now I'm working on making a new website. Once I get it done I'll post the link for it on here, but I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get it completely ready! I just figured I'd let you know! :)

Tomorrow is knowledge bowl again! :) Today I had river watch.




Some people in my class told me today that I'm never in class and always skipping! That kind of bugged me, because I don't even skip that often! I am sick. I have ditched class, but that's usually only like once a month. A few of my friends also say that I have teachers get me out of it when I do skip and get caught. And for the record, that's false! They said one teacher in particular who always excuses me, which is 100% not true. That kind of made me mad, because they were saying that I can get away with anything with that teacher, and that she favors me, because we are really close. That is not true, we are really close, but that teacher is a very fair teacher, she would not give any student special treatment. We are close because I've gotten to know her more than any of the other teachers over time. She is always there when I need her. I respect her, and she respects me for it! But she would not go against the school rules, and let some students get away with whatever. So to set the record straight, I don't get away with everything! I must just be a lucky skipper and that's why I haven't been caught before.


I hope my country music titles to my blog posts aren't irritating anyone! I just always have songs in my head, so I use whatever one that's in my head for the title.
